Jamestown Lighthouse is one of Accra’s most recognizable heritage landmarks, located in the historic Jamestown/Ga Mashie district. The current lighthouse was built in the 1930s, replacing an earlier 19th-century structure, and stands as a symbol of Accra’s coastal history. The area around the lighthouse is known for its fishing community, colorful canoes, colonial-era buildings, boxing gyms, street murals, and vibrant local culture.
