National Park | Wildlife Safari | Eco Tourism | Nature Reserve
Description
Mole National Park is Ghana’s largest and most famous national park, covering approximately 4,840 km² of Guinea savannah in the Savannah Region. Established as a wildlife reserve in 1958 and redesignated as a national park in 1971, it is home to more than 90 mammal species and over 300 bird species. The park is especially renowned for its guided walking safaris, where visitors can safely observe wild elephants on foot alongside trained armed rangers—an experience that sets Mole apart from many safari destinations in Africa. Visitors may also spot buffalo, kob, roan antelope, hartebeest, warthogs, baboons, patas monkeys, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
