Description
Standing at 885 metres (2,904 ft) above sea level, Mount Afadjato is the highest mountain entirely within Ghana and one of the country’s premier hiking destinations. Located near the village of Liati Wote in the Volta Region, the mountain is surrounded by lush rainforest, diverse wildlife, butterflies, and more than 300 bird species. The guided hike to the summit takes approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on pace, and rewards visitors with panoramic views stretching across the Volta Highlands into neighboring Togo.
