Waterfall | Nature Attraction | Hiking | Eco Tourism
Description
Wli Agumatsa Waterfalls, commonly known as Wli Waterfalls, is the tallest waterfall in West Africa, plunging approximately 80 metres (262 ft) from the Agumatsa Escarpment. Nestled within the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary, the falls feature both Lower Falls and Upper Falls. The lower falls are reached via an easy forest walk, while the upper falls require a more challenging guided hike through tropical rainforest. Along the trail, visitors can encounter hundreds of butterfly species, diverse birdlife, and one of West Africa’s largest colonies of fruit bats. The falls flow year-round, making them one of Ghana’s most visited natural attractions.
